Screenprinting Nick Drake posters for Hyde Park...
This week I’ve been screen printing some limited edition prints to sell on the 16th June @ Hyde Park Picture House Leeds.
I ended up printing the image in a very pale washed out blue and comparing it to the original image found it wasn’t quite dark enough, instead I tried using a dark blue/black and found that it was too dark! perhaps a two colour print would have worked best...
Nick Drake poster I recently finished for Hyde Park Picture House, Leeds.

Trip to Iceland
I got back from a trip to Iceland a few weeks ago, as well as the amazing scenery there was an amazing community of independent designers and makers there, it’s great to see even through the economic crash that there are people still making and producing amazing handmade products.

Mark Hearld 'Birds & Beasts' YSP
I went to Mark Hearlds opening show at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park last night, and as well as seeing his super collage/printmaking skills he’s also created some beautiful ceramic hares, originally created from a chocolate mould found in a Berlin flea market. Afterwards we celebrated with some YSP chips and a pint in the local pub.
Drawing some perky elves @ Saviour Coffee
Last week I was invited to draw some elves for The Perky Peacock on Gillygate (which happens to sell the best darn coffee and cake in York)
If your ever around in York stop by, have a super latte and a chat and get your photo taken as an elf. An all-round perfect start to the day.
Wuthering Heights plate
Wishing a little that I hadn’t started working on the theme of ‘Wuthering Heights’ haven’t managed to master drawing a miserable face as of yet, with a little longer working in retail I should be a pro.

ELCAF - Blexbolex
I visited London for the ELCAF comic book festival created by the guys at Nowbrow, and what a treat it was. There was some amazing work and I was lucky enough to walk away with the amazing new beautiful book by Blexbolex with a small drawing in the front, needless to say I geeked out over this for the rest of the day… and week.
